Lyons Languages is an independent, family-run language school located in the beautiful cathedral city of Ely, only a short distance from Cambridge in the East of England. Fully accredited by the British Council, we specialise in providing high quality English language programmes for small groups and individuals who are looking for a unique educational and cultural experience in England.
Whether preparing for specific examinations (Cambridge, IELTS, etc.) or aiming to improve general English, we endeavour to teach students effective and practical communication skills in a supportive and welcoming environment.
For younger students between 12 and 17 years, we offer English Study Holidays of 1 or 2 weeks which combine English tuition with activities and excursions. Students are accommodated with our carefully selected local network of homestay hosts.
For adults, we offer themed programmes focusing on Historic Houses and Gardens, Art Appreciation, and Shakespeare. Like those for younger students, these courses also combine English tuition with activities and excursions. Adults can stay with homestay hosts or choose their own accommodation.
As a small school, we can be flexible and are happy to design programmes for closed groups according to individual interests and requirements.
