The Assocazione Da Ponte is an Italian association formed to deliver a newly created Da Ponte Festival in Vittorio Veneto; the home town of the celebrated opera librettist, Lorenzo Da Ponte. He is recognised and famed for writing the libretto of Mozart’s trilogy of operas. This year’s festival will span August and September and consists of 2 workshops for young International singers who will be instructed by renowned language and vocal coaches, culminating in a new production of the opera Così Fan Tutte with a cast of up and coming opera singers selected from around Europe.
These performances are being staged in the Da Ponte Theatre in Vittorio Veneto on 6th, 7th and 8th September.
The Da Ponte Festival works In collaboration with the British company MusicaLink Ltd whose purpose is to encourage an Anglo-Italian cross-cultural high level musical bridge between the UK and Italy. Through performance and education we have and continue to create opportunities and nurture the professional development of singers and musicians; made possible by the fostering of relationships with international artists.
