Our member and theatre producer, Julia Holden, is delighted to inform you that: in celebration of 700 years since the death of poet Dante Alighieri her company, J. Productions S.R.L.S., whose prerogative is Bringing English Theatre to Milan, is hosting a Speaking Dante event on the 13th and 14th of September. For the first time ever, in Florence and streamed online, the cast of 24 (including Ralph Fiennes, Helen Mirren, Ian McDiarmid and Dominic West!) will perform a 24-hour marathon reading of the Divine Comedy.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Sant’Egidio Community for their work with migrants and refugees for Cultural Integration and Italian language learning.
On Thursday 9th of September The British Institute and Trevisan & Cuonzo Avvocati will be hosting a Speaking Dante Aperitivo at the British Institute in Florence to launch the event.
