The Zoom webinar “CERTIFICATION: DE&I AND GENDER EQUALITY. THE HOW & THE WHY.” will focus on PDR 125-2022 (linee guida sulla parità di genere) and ISO30415 (HR management – D&I per le aziende), and will highlight the benefits for businesses to get certified and the process one must undertake to reach certification. At the end of the presentation a Q&A session will give you the chance to directly question the speakers on one of the top trending topics for 2023.

With over 30 years of experience in the communications field, Fiorella Passoni leads operations for Edelman Italy. She provides strategic counsel to organizations during their initial launch, growth, and transformation phases, all while protecting their reputation in times of issues and crisis.
Fiorella is a guiding force in the industry’s ever-evolving communication model where purpose and creativity serve as crucial elements to solve business challenges. An action communications model driven by the concept of “earned at the core and social by design” which leverages insights, data and technology to unlock culturally-relevant social issues as drivers for making positive societal impact, earn attention and – ultimately – trust.
Within the Edelman network, Fiorella is a member of the Global Strategy Committee, the Global Trust Barometer Committee, and the EMEA Leadership Team. She has received numerous industry accolades, including “Communication Manager of the Year” and, most recently, “Manageritalia Excellence Award” and “Positive Business Manager”. Under her leadership, Edelman Italy has also been recognized with the “Positive Business Company & Team Award” as well as named “Most Innovative Agency of the Year.”

On 25 May 2023 The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy (BCCI) will hold its annual Gala Dinner and Business Excellence Awards ceremony in Milan with Guest of Honour Edward Llewellyn OBE, His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Italian Republic and San Marino. This is the flagship event in the Chamber’s calendar and one which brings together the most prominent representatives of the Chamber’s business community.
This year’s Gala will focus on innovation, which has been a pillar in the programming of the Chamber for many years, alongside DE&I and trade relations between Italy and the UK.

GUEST OF HONOUR
Edward Llewellyn OBE
His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Italian Republic & San Marino
Edward Llewellyn (Lord Llewellyn of Steep) was appointed British Ambassador to Italy in February 2022. Ed was British Ambassador to France from November 2016 to August 2021. Before joining the Embassy, he was the Downing Street Chief of Staff to former Prime Minister David Cameron (2010 to 2016) and his Chief of Staff as Leader of the Opposition (2005 to 2010). Ed started his career in 1988 in the Research department of the Conservative Party. In 1992, he worked as an adviser to Governor Chris Patten in Hong Kong, and then in the office of the High Representative in Sarajevo in 1997. He worked with Chris Patten again in Brussels from 1999 when the latter was appointed European Commissioner for Foreign Affairs. In 2002, he returned to Sarajevo as Chief of Staff to the High Representative, Lord Ashdown. He is married to Anne, herself a French national, and they have 3 young children. In 2016, he was appointed Lord Llewellyn and became a member of the House of Lords.

If you haven’t played the course before, you are in for a treat. It has hosted the Italian Open on six occasions and sits in the middle of the Parco Reale di Monza.

L’Italia si posiziona agli ultimi posti in Europa per popolazione giovane 15-34 anni, con un record di NEET (giovani che non studiano, non lavorano e non sono impegnati in percorsi di formazione) che raggiunge quasi quota 3 milioni.
La mancanza di ragazzi e ragazze che entrano nel mercato del lavoro si traduce in meno persone in grado di costruire il futuro del Paese, ma soprattutto in una generazione di soggetti fragili, privi degli strumenti e della consapevolezza per porre le basi per realizzare i loro sogni e le loro ambizioni, con un domani incerto.
Impegnarsi nella costruzione di un futuro del Lavoro Sostenibile significa anche rivolgersi alle nuove generazioni aiutandole a ritrovare consapevolezza, fiducia in se stessi e supportando il loro ingresso e la permanenza nel mondo del lavoro.
I giovani, e in particolar modo la prevenzione del fenomeno NEET, sono una delle priorità di intervento di Fondazione Gi Group che ha realizzato insieme a Gi Group Holding lo studio internazionale “Insieme per un futuro sostenibile: giovani e lavoro”. Le evidenze verranno condivise mercoledì 20 settembre alle ore 10.00 durante l’evento omonimo. In questa occasione si farà luce sulle principali caratteristiche demografiche ed economiche, sugli elementi che impattano maggiormente sull’occupazione giovanile e sulla transizione scuola-lavoro, arrivando a mettere in luce le best practice esistenti nei Paesi comparati nello studio, identificando cosa si potrebbe fare anche in Italia per migliorare la condizione dei giovani.

Our future is destined to be filled with novelties and surprises. Predictions of the imminent take over by the Metaverse, the intangible, but very real NFTs, the shocking advancement and accessibility of generative AI are only a tiny portion of what we call innovation. When we think of innovation we must think of technology, but also processes and mindset. Change is omnipresent, continuous and inevitable, but it requires knowledge and vision to embrace Innovation as a tool for improving lives and overcoming challenges.
For several years The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy has chosen to focus on innovation as one of its four theme pillars.On 23 November 2023, starting at 9:00am, the Chamber will hold a conference on innovation with keynote speaker Indro Mukerjee, CEO at Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency.
Indro Mukerjee is CEO of Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency. He is a highly experienced technology CEO and business leader with a track record of leading innovation and technology commercialisation in businesses of all sizes across the world, from publicly listed and multinational corporations to new venture and private equity backed technology companies.
Indro has extensive experience of leading fast growth; start-up; spinouts; restructuring; turnaround and successful M&A. Much of his time was spent in Asia and the US.
With a strong personal interest in the development of skills for industry, he cofounded the UK Electronics Skills Foundation and served on the SEMTA (now Enginuity) board for nine years, where he was also chair of the committee managing their investment fund. He is also a passionate advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion.
Indro has a degree in engineering science from University of Oxford, is a graduate of the Wharton Advanced Management Program and speaks several European languages.
Indro was elected as an Honorary Fellow of The Royal Academy of Engineering in September 2022.
We will also have the opportunity to hear from industry leaders and academicians who will guide us as we look beyond the sensational news and attempt to embrace innovation with fellow Chamber members and distiguished guests.
