We are delighted to invite you to a Legal Working Breakfast, which CMS Adonnino Ascoli & Cavasola Scamoni has very kindly agreed to host. This is our third informal meeting of Chamber members from the legal profession, with coffee and croissants provided.
Designed to follow up on the Legal Forum meeting last month, this will be a further opportunity to voice your ideas, exchange views, share experiences and shape the development of our Tax & Legal Group.

Nato e cresciuto a Genova in una famiglia molto umile, Roberto Costa ha iniziato a lavorare fin da bambino nella trattoria di famiglia in Via Francesco Rolla. Da allora, non c’è stato un giorno in cui Roberto non abbia trascorso il suo tempo in un ristorante, inseguendo il suo sogno. Insieme ad Alessandro Garrone, ha fondato la catena di ristoranti Maxela, che, dopo il grande successo ottenuto a Genova con due sedi, si è ampliata fino a contare 12 ristoranti in tutta Italia.Seguendo il suo percorso gastronomico con umiltà, Roberto ha deciso di aprire “l’ultimo ristorante della catena” a Londra, nel quartiere di South Kensington. Questa scelta, tuttavia, lo ha portato a separarsi dal socio Garrone nel 2014, dando vita a quella che oggi è la catena di ristoranti conosciuta come Macellaio RC. Dopo l’apertura di diverse sedi, nel 2018 Mariella Radici è entrata a far parte dell’azienda. Insieme, hanno creato RC Group, la grande holding che oggi include sei ristoranti a marchio Macellaio RC e una gastronomia con ristorante speakeasy chiamata Casacosta. Attualmente, Roberto è proprietario e gestore di tre ristoranti Macellaio RC a Londra. Ricopre inoltre il ruolo di Presidente Eletto della Camera di Commercio e Industria Italiana nel Regno Unito (dal giugno 2024) e di Presidente di RIAE (Coordinamento dei Ristoranti Italiani Autentici all’Estero).

Per il quinto anno consecutivo, The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy (BCCI), in collaborazione con Edelman, ospiterà un evento dedicato alla presentazione del Trust Barometer, la prima indagine al mondo sul tema della fiducia.
Presentata tradizionalmente al World Economic Forum di Davos e giunta alla sua 25ª edizione, l’indagine è realizzata dalla società di comunicazione Edelman per misurare il grado di fiducia della popolazione nei confronti delle principali istituzioni (Business, Governi, Media e ONG) e offrire una chiave di lettura delle tendenze di lungo periodo che stanno trasformando l’assetto della società.
L’edizione di quest’anno restituisce uno scenario globale in cui polarizzazione politica e paure sempre più radicate alimentano un diffuso senso di malcontento (“grievance”), con il rischio di compromettere gli equilibri della fiducia e di accentuare la frammentazione sociale. In questo contesto, le imprese restano l’istituzione più affidabile, ma sono chiamate a rispondere ad aspettative crescenti per rafforzare la coesione e contribuire alla stabilità del sistema.
Fiorella Passoni, CEO di Edelman Italia e portavoce italiana dell’Edelman Trust Barometer, presenterà i risultati dell’edizione 2025 e li commenterà insieme a Steven Sprague, Presidente di The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy. Armando Cecatiello is delighted to invite you to the presentation of his new book “Libere. Stories of Women Who Overcame Violence and Abuse”, a powerful collection of stories from courageous women who found the strength to break the cycle of violence.
“Libere” is much more than a collection of stories.It is a tool for prevention and awareness. For young women, it serves as a guide, a beacon, a voice that encourages them to recognize the warning signs of abuse before it becomes a prison. For men, it can serve as a mirror — an opportunity to understand where, how, and why things often go wrong, and what can be done to change.
The goal is cultural even before it is legal: to promote a new way of understanding emotional and relational education — one based on respect, listening, and empathy. During the presentation, Armando Cecatiello will be in conversation with legal experts, psychologists, and other professionals from the legal and social fields.

I segreti commerciali e il know-how, oggetto di diritti esclusivi di proprietà industriale che affiancano sinergicamente la tutela brevettuale o che possono anche costituire un’alternativa al brevetto, hanno visto crescere notevolmente la loro importanza nell’ultimo decennio, quale vero e proprio patrimonio innovativo ed esperienziale dell’impresa, come testimoniato anche dall’aumento del contenzioso e della sua complessità.
Se da un lato segreti e know-how sono oggi un importante asset aziendale fonte di vantaggi competitivi, dall’altro lato essi sono anche vulnerabili, spesso per una mancata conoscenza degli strumenti di tutela che, pur esistenti ed efficaci, hanno requisiti peculiari per poter essere attivati, sono oggetto di regole in parte diverse dagli altri diritti di proprietà industriale e richiedono apposite strategie e prassi applicative.
Alla protezione come proprietà industriale dei segreti e del know-how concorre anche la disciplina della concorrenza sleale, che nelle cause in materia ben può essere azionata, in unione alle norme industrialistiche, a maggior tutela di questi beni, naturalmente con gli opportuni coordinamenti e accorgimenti.
Scopo di questo convegno è quindi fornire indicazioni, soprattutto di taglio pratico, su quanto è necessario per massimizzare la tutela di segreti e know-how, sia nel momento della predisposizione di tutto ciò che la legge richiede per beneficiare di questa tutela, sia nella gestione delle informazioni nella vita aziendale, sia ancora nel momento del contenzioso a fronte di violazioni, molte volte imputabili a ex collaboratori passati alle dipendenze di concorrenti.

in the Italian Parliament (the Aula dei Gruppi parlamentari of the Chamber of Deputies).
The theme of the event will be: “Commonwealth Day, the Evolution of International Organizations & Global Governance.”
Together with our hosts, which include Parliamentarians elected in Italy’s overseas constituencies,
we are sure that there will be a stimulating debate within the broader context of international relations and Italy’s role in multilateral forums.
Every year, the Commonwealth Day celebration is a significant opportunity to renew our focus on our community of 56 countries,
spanning every continent and bringing together states with diverse histories, sizes, and levels of development,
yet united by shared values such as democracy, the rule of law, human rights, and sustainable development,
enshrined in the Commonwealth Charter.
At a time when multilateralism is under severe strain
and international institutions are being called upon to rethink their functioning to respond to increasingly complex global challenges
—from climate change to inequality, from economic and financial crises to geopolitical tensions—
the Commonwealth can serve as an important laboratory for cooperation, dialogue, and reform,
capable of empowering both large emerging economies and small, vulnerable states.
In this context, the celebration in the Chamber of Deputies aims to offer a space for reflection
on the Commonwealth’s contribution to strengthening and evolving the architecture of global governance,

Il quantum computing rende sempre più urgente ripensare la protezione dei dati in transito, ma la transizione verso un ecosistema Quantum Safe richiede chiarezza, priorità condivise e un confronto diretto.
Il panel organizzato da The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy e Colt, in collaborazione con ASSOCISO Associazione Nazionale Chief Information Security Officer, nasce proprio con questo obiettivo: offrire a responsabili IT e sicurezza uno spazio riservato e interattivo per discutere cosa significhi davvero preparare le proprie reti e architetture all’era post-quantum, quali rischi sono più concreti e quali passi possono essere intrapresi già oggi.
Attraverso un keynote introduttivo e una tavola rotonda moderata, l’incontro punta a generare:
– insight pratici sulle minacce emergenti e su come valutarne l’impatto;
– esempi concreti di approcci Quantum Safe già adottati nel settore;
– uno scambio su priorità, vincoli, scenari realistici e roadmap attuabili;
– un confronto su come l’ecosistema (associazioni, operatori di rete, istituzioni) può supportare le organizzazioni nel percorso.
L’obiettivo non è presentare una soluzione, ma creare un’occasione di confronto di alto livello, orientata a capire come ciascuna organizzazione può prepararsi in modo sostenibile, graduale e informato.
