The Chamber’s Annual Gala Dinner is, for the second year running, unlike any other. After last year’s successful Sustainability theme, this year we are celebrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I). The Rt Hon Lord Edward Llewellyn OBE PC
HM Ambassador to Italy & San Marino
Edward Llewellyn (Lord Llewellyn of Steep) was appointed British Ambassador to Italy in February 2022. Ed was British Ambassador to France from November 2016 to August 2021. Before joining the Embassy, he was the Downing Street Chief of Staff to former Prime Minister David Cameron (2010 to 2016) and his Chief of Staff as Leader of the Opposition (2005 to 2010). Ed started his career in 1988 in the Research department of the Conservative Party. In 1992, he worked as an adviser to Governor Chris Patten in Hong Kong, and then in the office of the High Representative in Sarajevo in 1997. He worked with Chris Patten again in Brussels from 1999 when the latter was appointed European Commissioner for Foreign Affairs. In 2002, he returned to Sarajevo as Chief of Staff to the High Representative, Lord Ashdown. He is married to Anne, herself a French national, and they have 3 young children. In 2016, he was appointed Lord Llewellyn and became a member of the House of Lords.

Under the direction of Maestro Vincenzo Simmarano, the Milan-based choir, Canti Corum, will perform the renowned, British choral piece for choir and orchestra, by the famous, contemporary Welsh composer, Sir Karl Jenkins, called “The Armed Man – A Mass for Peace“, in concert on Monday 31st October 2022 in the Basilica Cattedrale, in Cefalù at 9:00 PM.
Canti Corum was established in 1998 by a group of music lovers from different backgrounds and musical experiences. It is made up of more than 30 singers led by director Vincenzo Simmarano, who is the author of the arrangement of some songs of the Choir repertoire. Canti Corum is committed to expanding its repertoire, carrying on that multifaceted and versatile features that make it stand out, giving a central role to polyphonic music, without neglecting the other aspects of cultured music as well. Its repertoire also includes folk songs, accurate a cappella performances and performances with instrumental accompaniment.
As this is a charity event, donations will be accepted at the door.

We would be pleased to welcome you to our annual Christmas Gala Dinner. The Gala will be held on December 15th at 7:30 pm at The Westin Palace, Milan, and we would be delighted if you could attend. This event will be filled with the values, spirit, and tradition of Christmas, those which make the world a better place.
You can expect carols from the magnificent choir of The British School of Milan and a customary Christmas dinner. Also, games such as Heads or Tails, an auction, and a raffle. In addition, we will have teddies and wonder books for sale with proceeds being donated to the Chamber charities: Action Aid and Rise Against Hunger.
Although this is a Christmas gala, people of all religions and beliefs are warmly welcome to join us. After all, the BCCI family is made up of people from all backgrounds and diversity is something that makes us stronger.

Durante il secondo appuntamento, che si terrà giovedì 1/12 dalle ore 17.00 in Piazza degli Affari 2 a Milano, gli addetti ai lavori avranno l’opportunità di approfondire il tema dell’efficienza energetica e, in particolare, di scoprire le soluzioni più innovative per il controllo e la gestione di edifici o parti di edifici e il monitoraggio di impianti, apparecchiature meccaniche ed elettriche.

On 25 May 2023 The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy (BCCI) will hold its annual Gala Dinner and Business Excellence Awards ceremony in Milan with Guest of Honour Edward Llewellyn OBE, His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Italian Republic and San Marino. This is the flagship event in the Chamber’s calendar and one which brings together the most prominent representatives of the Chamber’s business community.
This year’s Gala will focus on innovation, which has been a pillar in the programming of the Chamber for many years, alongside DE&I and trade relations between Italy and the UK.

Edward Llewellyn OBE
His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Italian Republic & San Marino
Edward Llewellyn (Lord Llewellyn of Steep) was appointed British Ambassador to Italy in February 2022. Ed was British Ambassador to France from November 2016 to August 2021. Before joining the Embassy, he was the Downing Street Chief of Staff to former Prime Minister David Cameron (2010 to 2016) and his Chief of Staff as Leader of the Opposition (2005 to 2010). Ed started his career in 1988 in the Research department of the Conservative Party. In 1992, he worked as an adviser to Governor Chris Patten in Hong Kong, and then in the office of the High Representative in Sarajevo in 1997. He worked with Chris Patten again in Brussels from 1999 when the latter was appointed European Commissioner for Foreign Affairs. In 2002, he returned to Sarajevo as Chief of Staff to the High Representative, Lord Ashdown. He is married to Anne, herself a French national, and they have 3 young children. In 2016, he was appointed Lord Llewellyn and became a member of the House of Lords.

The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy and Camera di Commercio di San Marino have joined forces to set up a trade mission aiming to explore business opportunities between their respective Members.
The hybrid trade mission will focus on real estate and digital innovation, through a combination of informative sessions and direct interactions with institutional and business representatives of both jurisdictions.
We look forward to receiving your feedback and suggestions to help us shape the trade mission to suit your needs and business goals.
San Marino è connotato da un tessuto economico vivace ed eterogeneo, che ospita realtà imprenditoriali d’eccellenza a livello internazionale.
Investire nello sviluppo della propria impresa in San Marino per competere sui mercati internazionali è favorito da un contesto normativo e istituzionale snello e dinamico.

We are pleased to invite you to register soon (as places will be limited) for the BCCI Golf Tournament on Thursday, 15th June 2023 at the magnificent Golf Club Milano. If you haven’t played the course before, you are in for a treat. It has hosted the Italian Open on six occasions and sits in the middle of the Parco Reale di Monza.
⛳ We envisage tee offs between 10.30am and 12.30pm (exact timing to be confirmed) with the usual array of team and individual competitions, followed by an aperitif and Prize Giving. (Teams will be arranged as necessary for single/double entries).
