From 1 January 2023 businesses will need to use the new UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking for many goods placed on the GB market (England and Scotland and Wales).

The UKCA marking covers most goods which previously required the CE marking. Currently for most manufactured goods, businesses can still comply with EU rules including applying the CE marking for the UK market. The rules are different for Northern Ireland and Northern Ireland-based businesses.

Find out if you need to use the UKCA marking and how to use it.
