Do you remember our Christmas Gala 2022, complete with a raffle, auctions, games, and gifts? The Chamber supported the charities Rise Against Hunger and Action Aid Italia, an organization committed to combating poverty and injustice worldwide. We have received an update regarding the project “Youth for Love” which we have supported through the proceeds raised at the Christmas gala.
Combating peer violence, preventing and tackling bullying and hate language between teenagers. This is the focus of the European project ‘Youth For Love’ – now in its second year and created to develop a programme alongside schools and the educational community in four European countries (Italy, Greece, Belgium and Romania).
The main objective is to help young people and teachers tackle gender-based and peer violence with new teaching methods and educational tools that raise awareness on the issue and stimulate empathy.
In Italy, the results achieved within the project were: 500 students, 190 teachers and school staff, and 50 parents/guardians were informed through the implementation of local and community initiatives.
Through social campaigns and the promotion of the webgame developed within the project, more than 1.5 million users were reached. More than 20,000 people have played the game so far.
Through this project, ActionAid Italy carries on its programme against discrimination and in favour of a synergic education that puts a concrete stop to bullying.
