BCCI President Steven Sprague speaker at the ICCI UK conference “Brexit: update on immigration rules for workers and employers in the hospitality sector” (Manchester, 30 March 2022)

The hospitality sector has been impacted by the change of the immigration rules for European citizens after Brexit. The UK hospitality sector is living a period of uncertainty and difficulty due to the lack of staff and the proven difficulties, from both logistic and economic perspective, in hiring new European and Italian employees.

The ICCIUK wants to provide support to the hospitality sector and it is delighted to have two exceptional speakers for this seminar: Sarah Marangoni, dual Solicitor and  Avocat working for the international alliance formed between the law firms CastaldiPartners and Buckles Solicitors, and  Steven Sprague, President of The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy; Chairman of the Chamber’s Brexit Committee and partner at the law firm CastaldiPartners.

During the seminar the speakers will present the new characteristics of UK immigration law as a result of Brexit for both European and Italian citizens and employers in the UK. Our speakers will discuss about sponsorships, VISAs and new VISAs for Summer 2022, right to work check and activities permitted to European citizens in the UK. During the seminar we will also highlight commercial differences between the UK and Italy and the ICCIUK will present possible solutions and opportunities available. There will be a Q&A session at the end of the seminar.
