HUB-E || The first sustainability hub in Italy

Redesigning sustainable thinking in the design capital of the world

For the first time Instituto-E [a pioneer Brazilian institution that has been creating concepts and practices regarding Sustainable Design Thinking for more than then two decades created by the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Oskar Metsavaht], the British Commercial Chamber for Italy [a private, non-profit making entity that assists and encourages the development of trade and investment between the United Kingdom and Italy] and the Industrie Cosmetiche Riunite [one of the most traditional Italian fragrance industry known since 1975 for its excellence and innovative thinking] joined forces to create an international hub for exchanging knowledge, best practices and inspiring cases of sustainable development

The Hub-E will be launched through an event at Magna Pars L’Hotel à Parfum, in the design district of Milan, from September 30 until October 2 – 2021, as an official Pre-COP26 event through the All4Climate – Italy 2021 movement promoted by the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition in collaboration with Connect4Climate of the World Bank Group and with the participation of the Region of Lombardy and the Municipality of Milan.

#All4Climate – Italy 2021 encompasses the complete schedule of climate events taking place in Italy this year. The aim is to make 2021 a milestone year for climate ambition and to promote a proactive dialogue on the challenges of the climate crisis and deliver on the objectives of the Paris Agreement

Inspired on Instituto-E’s concepts, the Hub-e aims to promote the debate between institutions, companies, associations, entrepreneurs and citizens by sharing cases such as projects involving tribes from Amazonia and ethic supply chains to strategic methodologies for implementing a sustainability mindset change inside industries from different segments, all in pursue for balance between environmental, social and economic pillars to achieve real change.

The event – that counts with Om.art, MTV Italia and the Italian companies Pcoach, Dataz, Magna Pars L’Hotel à Parfum, My Events, Istituto Marangoni and the Swiss Optimal Living Society (SOLS) as partners – will be divided into private and open for the general public areas with roundtable, cases display, among other attractions.

    Instituto-E (IE) is an OSCIP [Civil Society Organization for Public Interest] – constituted by a multidisciplinary team with an entrepreneur DNA – created to work with concepts and practices through the Sustainable Design Thinking methodology that join sustainability, design and transformation to boost the sustainable human development under social, environmental and governance pillars. IE was founded and is chaired by the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Oskar Metsavaht.     Since 2006, IE has been developing and implementing several initiatives and projects with institutions such as UNESCO, Italian Ministry of the Environment, UN’s Ethical Fashion Initiative, WWF, Osklen, among others.
