On Wednesday, 5th March Guglielmo Miani, President & CEO of Larusmiani and President of the Montenapoleone District, hosted an exclusive cocktail for our members at his boutique in Via Pietro Verri, 10 in Milan.
During the evening we had the opportunity to discover the extraordinary history and collection of Larusmiani, the oldest luxury clothing and tailoring brand in the Montenapoleone District. This Milan-born brand today represents Italian excellence and whilst safeguarding its artisanal traditions, looks towards the future.
Larusmiani was founded in 1922 by Mr Guglielmo Miani senior, the grandfather of the current President. Their founder was himself an excellent tailor and a far-sighted entrepreneur. He began to import fine fabrics from Great Britain and he was the first to import to Italy the famous vicuña, the world’s most precious fabric. Mr Miani senior was also a respected philanthropist devoted to Milan, was honoured by several institutions and appointed OBE in 1970.
