Dear Members,
As the holiday season approaches, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the past year together.
2024 has been a milestone for our Chamber as we celebrated 120 years of fostering partnerships and building bridges between the UK and Italy. Our Gala on 23 October was a testament to the legacy of this institution, and I want to thank all of you who joined us that evening to mark this incredible anniversary. It was a night that reminded us of the enduring strength of our community.
Just a few weeks later, on 6 November, we hosted our Innovation Conference – a forward-looking event that brought together brilliant minds to explore new ideas, technologies, and collaborations. Events like these highlight what makes this Chamber so special: our ability to honour the past while embracing the future.
I want to express my thanks to all of you – our members, partners, sponsors and supporters – who make this Chamber not just an institution, but a thriving and vibrant community. None of what we do would be possible without the extraordinary dedication of our Chamber staff. Their hard work, professionalism, and passion keep everything running smoothly, and I know I speak for everyone here when I say: thank you.
Christmas is a time to reflect, to give thanks, and to look forward with hope. Whether you’re celebrating with mince pies and mulled wine or panettone and prosecco, this season reminds us of the importance of connection, generosity, and shared purpose – values that are at the heart of what we do as a Chamber.

Let’s continue to build on 120 years of history and create an even brighter future for this Chamber. We look forward to another year of shared achievements and meaningful collaboration through our events and networking opportunities. While our full 2025 programme is still taking shape, we are pleased to offer you a range of events already in the works or open for registration – as our event schedule evolves, updates will be posted on our website.
I’d like to close with the words of Italo Calvino, who wrote: “Il Natale ci riscalda con il fuoco dell’amicizia e illumina con la luce dell’attesa.” (“Christmas warms us with the fire of friendship and illuminates us with the light of anticipation.”)
