Our 2021 Christmas Gala Dinner will be hosted at Galleria Meravigli, in the heart of Milan – Via Gaetano Negri, 6. The event will take place on Thursday 16th December 2021, from 7.00PM.
As you may be aware, ‘Belonging’ is the theme we have chosen for this year’s gala. This is because in recent months we have learnt that in every community, no matter how big or small, supporting and being there for each other is paramount to strengthening relationships and forging bonds between us as a family. There is no greater sense of community than ‘Belonging’.
Although this is a Christmas gala, people of all religions and beliefs are warmly welcomed to join us, after all, the BCCI family is made up of people from all backgrounds and diversity is something that makes us stronger.
The event will be generously supported by The British School of Milan. As tradition dictates, The British School of Milan Chamber Choir will be performing Christmas Carols at the dinner.
📢 SPEAKERS ANNOUNCEMENT 📢
We are delighted to announce John Hooper and Anna Kraczyna as our guest speakers at the Christmas Gala Dinner, whose new and extensively annotated translation of Collodi’s ‘The Adventures of Pinocchio’ has been recently published by Penguin Classics. During the night they will give an exciting presentation in which they will reveal their interesting findings as a result of their studies about Pinocchio, a story with many levels of cultural, social, political, culinary and religious significance – not just a children’s book.
