IL COMMERCIO E GLI INVESTIMENTI UK ALLA LUCE DI EVENTI ECCEZIONALI: BREXIT E COVID-19
Event Details
Commercial exchanges between Italy and the UK are being challenged by historically important events such as “Brexit” and “COVID-19”. The conference aims to give a snapshot of the situation, will look at and discuss future scenarios and will highlight the actions that businesses should take to protect and prepare themselves for an uncertain future.
Steven Sprague, an expert of the Brexit phenomenon, will talk about how to prepare your company to prepare for change.
Sian Westerman has followed and follows the financial aspects in strategic transactions undertaken by Italian companies in the English capital market or who seek the assistance of a financial advisor to assist with corporate finance transactions, areas which will be significantly impacted by Brexit. Her unique experience will be invaluable.
Jacopo Monaci Naldini will focus on the practical changes that will impact on the law applicable to contracts between Italian and English companies and on the resolution of disputes, including credit recovery.
Stefano Rigato and Chiara Righetti will illustrate the state of the art of customs controls and formalities between Italy and the United Kingdom which become more significant not only due to Brexit but also as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Special attention will be paid to timing, a fundamental issue for those who operate with high inventory turnover.
Carlo Musante will explain the effects of Brexit on EU directives aimed at harmonizing tax treatment and the exchange of information between administrations and authorities. He will also discuss the impact that Brexit will have on the change in the reference accounting principles adopted by UK companies.

9 OTTOBRE 2020 – Visita alla distilleria di gin “Peter in Florence”
Visita organizzata presso la distilleria di gin “Peter in Florence” in località Pelago, nella campagna fiorentina. I visitatori verranno accompagnati da una navetta. Si prevede la partenza per le ore 11.00 ed il rientro a Firenze per le ore 15.30. Un light lunch verrà offerto dalla distilleria.
Ai visitatori verrà illustrato il processo di distillazione, dall’approvvigionamento della materia prima fino alla distribuzione commerciale.
L’iscrizione va comunicata entro il 1ottobre 2020. Non è obbligatorio aver partecipato al convegno e sono benvenuti accompagnatori.
